Use dark, rich colors to decorate a bedroom – this gives a cosy and intimate feel to the room.
Consider a rich, ruby red - red has long been considered the color of passion and love, and this strong color will certainly get the heart pounding, as thoughts turn to passion…
Other colors to consider in your sexy-style bedroom are deep, rich purples and blues.
If you don’t think you can cope with something so dark in your bedroom, try a mid-tone lilac, a deep pink, or luxurious golds and rusts.
Definitely don’t choose pastels or bright white – decorating a bedroom with anything too pale or cool will make your room feel cold and stark – not at all the feeling you were hoping for.
You want to try to create a soft, comfortable and sensuous feel when decorating a bedroom in a sexy style….
Make sure your bed is large, soft and comfortable and kitted out in luxurious bedding – choose natural fabrics for the softest feel – go for silk, cotton or linen, in rich, sensual tones.

Add plenty of soft cushions for added comfort – but make sure they don’t take over the whole bed!

If you have a four-poster bed, this is ideal for draping fabric from – otherwise, use your imagination and drape fabric over windows, mirrors, pictures and hang from the walls.
Floaty, voiles, nets and lace give a more romantic look – or you can go for full on sensuality and luxury, with velvets, chenille, damask and brocade.
Furniture
When choosing furniture, decorating a bedroom in a sensual style means ignoring the minimalist styles and instead looking for furniture with a flourish!
Look out for antique furniture with scrolls, patterns and carvings or modern furniture that is curvy, nicely shaped or decoratively carved.
Black, dark wood or painted white or cream are all good colors for sensual furniture styles.
Including a dressing table and chair when decorating a bedroom will give your room an unmistakeable air of femininity and sensuality, so always try to fit one in, if possible.
Accessories
Choose luxury Oriental or Persian rugs on the floor – or soft and fluffy white rugs.
