Color Healing and Decorating Color Schemes
Your decorating color schemes can be chosen from a point of view of 'Color Therapy' or 'Color Healing'.We are looking at how you can choose a color for your home... This is a slightly different way of looking at decorating and color... ...but it could give you an interesting new approach to your color choices... ...and hopefully it might help heal a few illnesses and make you feel better about yourself. Why not give it a try? Color Therapy teaches that good use of color can balance your whole being and self - body, mind and spirit. It could help to heal your body, and soothe your mind and soul. Please note: This is not intended as medical advice - it is a bit of fun. Please see your doctor if you suffer from any health issues. About Color TherapyFirstly, learn to trust your own intuitive, emotional response to color. Note which colors you are drawn towards, or that you really love - then consider using these in your decorating color schemes. It probably means that your body 'needs' that color. The list below will help you to work out which colors could help you...

Also note which colors you instinctively dislike and turn away from. A strong dislike of a particular color indicates an overload of that color in your body's energy field...You can use the color therapy complementary color in your room, to balance this out. More about this in a minute... The Color Therapy complementary color is different from the complementary color chosen from the interior design color wheel You will find the color therapy complementary colors listed for each color choice below. How to Choose Your Special Color Start by just choosing the one color that you are instantly drawn towards. This is called your 'soul color' in color therapy. For your interior design scheme, choose from a full paint swatch color card, containing as many colors as possible. Close your eyes and relax for several moments, before choosing the color you are instantly drawn towards - this is your 'special' color - the one you 'need'... Try to include this color somewhere in your design where it is noticeable to you... Adding accessories like cushions or artwork is a simple and inexpensive way of introducing your color into the room If you like, you could also try basing a whole decorating color scheme on your special 'soul color'. Also choose a color that gives you a feeling of calm and relaxation - and use this for any rooms you want a relaxing mood for. Then choose a color which makes you feel lively and awake - this will be good for any rooms you want to feel lively and stimulated in - maybe a study? ...or a kitchen? This exercise can also be done by other family members who share your home - hopefully a unique combination (or compromise!) can be reached in your decorating color schemes.
