Entry/Foyer interior design ideas

First I would like to say, I'm on the traditional side. My foyer is as such.. to the right of the front door has space to put a table, straight ahead of the front door is stairs going up.

The wall with the stairs I could put a half moon console? and straight ahead is the entrance to the family room, on your left of the front door is the formal dining, with also to the right is the entrance to the formal living accross from the wall with the stairs going up.

I wish it to have a statement without being to much.. any ideas???
