Funniest Interior Design Examples - The day the cat 'helped' to decorate!

Hmmm, butter wouldn't melt... eh?

Hmmm, butter wouldn't melt... eh?

I wanted to tell you about the day my cat 'helped' us to decorate. We were decorating the walls with a cream paint. At the time we had 2 cats, who usually didn't interfere at all with any painting. In hindsight, I am sure any responsible cat owner should have thought ahead, and kept them well out of the way! Hey, not me! :-)

One of our cats had fractured his tail in the past - hence it sometimes waved about a bit, and didn't actually go where he wanted it to all the time.

He waved it into the wall, a few times, then while we were trying to wipe him up, with a wet-wipe (incidentally, I find wet-wipes are the absolute best at wiping up wet paint!) the cat actually managed to tread in the lid of the paint pot.

Presumably, traumatised by this experience, and completely unimpressed by our valiant(?) efforts to wipe his paws with the aforementioned wet wipe, the cat decided the best course of action was to run all over the house! Yes, taking a little white, painty, paw print everywhere he went...

The more we chased him, to wipe him, and try to clean the floor, the more he scampered around...! To cut a long story short, disaster was narrowly avoided, and the cat suffered no lasting damage (thanks for both, in the main, to the wet wipes)

I only have one cat now - who is much more sensible with paint! But I do tend to try to keep him well out of the way of any more potential disasters of this kind!!
