I am very proud of this bedroom
I recently finished a home decorating project on my bedroom. I wanted quite a plain and simple, relaxing feel to my bedroom - nothing too busy or dark. So I chose this lovely pale green, which is quite soft and gentle.
I wanted something quite tradtional, but not too fussy - so chose this really nice pine furniture, from a local furniture maker. I think it goes really well, and I can keep it for years.
I chose the bed, with posts, as I wanted something a bit special, with a romantic feel for my bed - but I thought a full four-poster with a ceiling/canopy might be a bit much and block the light from the window.
I really went to town on the bed cushions - choosing pretty fabrics from the local shop - and I actually made up the cushions myself (with a little bit of help from my mum, actually!) I think they make a great focal point.
I am very proud of my lovely room. I am very encouraged to keep it tidy these days, and love to chill out and relax in my bedroom at the end of the day.
