How do i find contentment with my bedroom?

I've pulled it apart so many times, and I can never get it right.

The end result is always too childlike, or too mature, or too bright, or too modern, or too old fashioned, or too neutral...

...or too girly & pink, or too boyish, or too bland, or too popart, or too warm or too cold or too floral (yuck) or too beachy.

I just can't seem to find the right look I want. I am not artistic, but I'm really creative, and I just can't settle.

I think I'm better off with clutter, because having my room so simplistic, decluttered, spacious & organized, makes me feel sick.

I never had this problem before. Before my room looked like it was tipped upside down..but then I had to grow up.

As soon as i turned 21, i was like, right i need to declutter & simplify my room (getting rid of 3/4 of my stuff in the process which I now regret).

That then made me think of themes & color schemes, and now it feels like its some kind of obsession.

I'm 24, and i just don't know how to have it. You see, even though I am 24, I crave for a room that is young, more like a 17 year olds, because I feel, act, look & dress like one. (actually people mistake me for 16).

I miss my own room with its plastered posters everywhere, how everything had a place, but everything was everywhere.

Nothing was organized, and I didn't have to worry about what I bought, making sure it would go with the decor in my room.

I used to buy things because i loved the item, not because of its color.

I don't know if you can really help me out, but if you can, please do so :) I just need to find a style I like.
