Ideas to liven up a plain white room

Me and my family like to hang out in our family room.

It is a room that has a door to the study, and then a door that takes you to the sunroom. When I walk in the room it just looks boring and regular.

The color of the room is white with a little area of wood on the walls, that corners in our family fireplace.

We have a huge t.v. that takes up most of the space. But what also takes up most of the space is our golden colored couch and our golden rocking chair.

We also have a plain white couch that we put a green plain fabric cover on it, so nobody gets stain on it. We hung pictures up to make it feel more comfortable.

I can't choose what colors I would like to paint the room.

Does anybody have any ideas that I could use for this room.
