This inspiration board shows you a really stunning and practical interior design trend - that can fit really well into your home.
Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year. The arrival of Halloween and Autumn bring to mind - the crunch and swirl of beautifully colored autumn leaves, fat ripe pumpkins, crisp ready logs, piled inside waiting for winter, and the smells of woodsmoke and crackling bonfires.
Winter is approaching - so it is time to wrap up warm and be cosy - but at the same time, to enjoy the crisp autumn air and fabulous colors outside.
The main colors for this look are warm - lots of beautiful warm and rich browns, reds, oranges and golds.
These colors will make your room feel cosy.
If you want to use large blocks of these colors on the walls, it would be best suited to large rooms, or west-facing rooms.
But, if you have a small room, don't be scared to add oranges, reds and golds - as an accent, to walls, furnishings or accessories.
The whole look is warm and sumptuous. So, think rich, quality fabrics and textures - silk, and leather, against fluffy cushions and faux fur throws, look great for this interior design trend.
Sofa or chairs in a chocolate brown fabric - particularly leather - would look fabulous in an Autumn/Halloween room.
Use loads of beautiful wood, in rich brown and red tones - for furniture, picture frames and accessories. Try a beautifully carved wooden wall plaque, for an unusual talking point for your room.
Keep accessories natural in theme. If you have an open fire - or even, any kind of fireplace at all - bring in some chopped logs. The freshly cut wood will smell great - and the logs will help you feel as if you are settling down, and preparing for winter.
Try collecting pine cones - and arrange informally, in groups on the mantlepiece - or fill bowls full.
I always like the look of crystallised lemon and orange slices at this time of year. Try using them in bowls, instead of pot-pourri.
Make sure your lighting has a nice warm tone too - to add to that lovely, cosy, autumnal feel. Try an orange lampshade, orange bulb, or fairy lights - and give a warm glow to your room.
