Wood Blinds - Country Cottage?

I have a question not a comment.

I am starting with an empty remodeled drive thru corncrib.(A very large one)

I would like to put the wooden blinds on the windows.

Will this be in line with the County Cottage look?

Tks
Donna

Ideal for a Country Corncrib
by: Charlotte

Hi Donna

Your corncrib home sounds very interesting - I would love to see a photo if you have one?

If you fancy wooden blinds in your home I think they would look great - and yes, I think they would go well with a country cottage feel.

Wood will give quite a rustic look and feel, which is obviously ideal for a country look.

You could keep with quite a simple, pared down, rustic look - I'm thinking something like the looks here (you don't need to do the cowboy thing unless you want), or a more vintage look.

The blinds will even go with a 'softer' country style, if that is what you prefer - look at some ideas here for a more traditional country cottage feel - you could add some pretty dress curtains if you did want that 'prettier', 'softer' country cottage look and feel.

I hope that gives you a few ideas, and I hope the blinds look great in your country corncrib home.

Wishing you luck and happiness with your exciting project.

Charlotte

wood blinds
by: Donna

I want to decorate in country cottage. We have renovated the old drive thru corn crib and we have kept all the wood beams.

Are the wooden blinds a good idea?

Also if the wooden blinds are okay do I use brown?

Tks

Choose the same wood as the beams!
by: Charlotte

Incidentally, I do think that your wooden blinds will look great. I think
that for the color you should choose the same (or as similar as possible) as the wooden beams (whatever
that is) for unity throughout.

Hope this is of help.

Good luck with your decorating - it all sounds lovely!
