The bathroom is one of the most important rooms in your house. You will definitely be spending time in there everyday.
Did you know we actually spend three years of our lifetime on the toilet?
So, it's worth spending a little time and energy to get your bathroom decorating spot on.
As an added incentive to getting it right, it's reported that a beautiful new bathroom can increase the value of your home by up to a whopping 20%!
And, according to a RICS survey (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) a hefty 93% of house buyers regard a new bathroom as an asset in a home.
So, decorating your bathroom could be a profitable idea too, if you are looking to sell your house anytime soon...
What do you want from your bathroom?
Many people, me for one, love to use their bathroom for a bit of rest and relaxation...
I love a long wallow in a lovely hot bath - it gives me time to rejuvenate and recover after a long day's work - and I come out feeling calmed and refreshed...
So it's important for me, to create a bathroom decorating scheme that gives me that calming and relaxing feel.
My husband likes to use the bathroom for a refreshing and invigorating wake-up shower...
He wants our bathroom decorating style to be clean, bright and stimulating! Not too much though! It is still early in the morning, after all!
It's important for a bathroom to be clean and hygienic looking. It's also important for it to be safe - no slipping over on wet floors!
It also has to be efficient and with a layout that works for your needs!
